Descriptive image text

Spider bites usually are not serious but can cause swelling, discoloration and itching – which is normal. In our area there are two that are more dangerous and their poison can cause very serious problems.

Which spiders should I be concerned about, and why?

Thousands of different types of spiders, most of which we will never come in contact with.

What types are poisonous?

The brown recluse and the black widow in our area are poisonous.

How are they a problem?

The spiders are usually in areas that make them less likely to come into human contact. Poison can cause significant pain, fever, nausea, vomiting...many serious and rarely life-threatening reactions.

How do I get rid of them and prevent them from coming back?

The best method is to have a professional pest control company control these pests and keep them away.
