What are bed bugs?
Small insects that feed on the blood of warm blooded animals and people.
How are they a problem?
They infest a home and start to feed on people at night when they are sleeping. They multiply rapidly, spread throughout a house and live on mattresses, furniture, walls, ceilings, closets, etc.
How do I get rid of them?
Hard to get rid of, but there are many liquid and aerosol pesticides sold to get rid of them and/or heat treatments. A professional exterminator should be called in as they have the expertise and knowledge and proper equipment to exterminate these insects.
How do I prevent them from coming back?
Since bed bugs can be picked up at hotels, buses, airplanes, other people’s homes and from guests that may stay with you it can be very hard to protect yourself from bed bugs. A pest control company that treats bed bugs may offer some long term monitoring and treatments, which we do.
